In Singapore, life insurance advice can come from 64 licensed financial adviser firms, 68 insurers and insurance brokers and 20 banks that the MAS register permits to arrange life policies (17 October 2026).

The difference matters: a licensed financial adviser firm can usually compare policies from several insurers, while an insurer's own agents sell that insurer's products. Ask which insurers a firm can place business with before you meet.
